I’ll be at the CMC Backcountry Bash next week for a screening of my new film The Australis, followed by some Q & A and a book signing of my new book; Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America. The 18th annual Backcountry Bash is the Colorado Mountain Club’s signature winter event, a celebration of the state’s premier mountain-adventure organization dedicated to recreation, conservation, and education. The Colorado Mountain Club works to preserve portions of our public lands as quiet, non-motorized areas where skiers, snowshoers, snowboarders, and other users can experience the solitude of the winter backcountry. The Backcountry Bash is a fundraising event for the CMC’s Backcountry Snowsports Initiative program and its advocacy work for human-powered winter recreation.
Food, drinks and Avery beer on tap all night long – as well as the legendary CMC silent auction.
