01.25.2011– (Calgary, AB) SOLE, the manufacturer of premium footbeds, socks and shoes, has collaborated with world-class skier and mountaineer Chris Davenport to develop a snow sports-specific footbed. Available to consumers in early Fall 2011, the Signature CD Thin was purpose-built to perform in winter environments.

Like every SOLE Custom Footbed, the Signature CD Thin features a heat moldable, shock-absorbing base layer that provides a custom fit, excellent support, and optimal control. The footbed features a 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulating layer in a thin design for low volume footwear. The base contains 20 percent recycled content and the moisture-wicking top sheet with Polygiene® antimicrobial treatment contains 35 percent recycled content. One dollar from the sale of every pair sold will be donated directly to Protect Our Winters (POW), a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting and actively engaging the global snow sports community to fight against climate change.

“This was a fun project, because Dav is so passionate about the products he uses,” says Rob Nathan, SOLE’s Product Director. “We actually delayed the product launch a full year to get everything dialed.”
